Piano Lessons in Your Home

Piano Lessons are offered to students of all levels - beginners thru advanced, ages 5 thru adults. Lessons are taught in the students' homes in Lakeway, Rough Hollow, Sweetwater, Hudson Bend, Round Rock and Westlake. Recitals are held twice per year at the Steinway Piano Gallery. Students are encouraged to perform in recitals and other related performance activities throughout the year. Those students not performing may attend and be part of the audience.

I have been teaching piano lessons in Lakeway and the surrounding Austin area for 27 years. Prior to teaching piano lessons, I taught public school elementary music & middle school choir for 9 years in Austin ISD and Alief ISD. I was a church pianist for over 10 years for several denominations in Austin, Texas.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, piano emphasis from the University of Texas in Austin in 1980, and a Texas teaching certification in all-level Music (K-12 general music and choir) from the University of Houston in 1988. My high school piano teacher was Alfred Teltschik who studied at Julliard School of Music and performed at Carnegie Hall. My university piano instructors were Dr. John Paul at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas and a graduate student teacher assistant under Dr. Nancy Garrett the University of Texas at Austin.
